Biography
David Ragnarsson is an Icelandic bass. He was praised for his portrayal of Osmin in a concert version of Die Entführung aus dem Serail for the Neue Philharmonie this year. The opera was performed in several locations in Germany.

In 2023 he sang in various concerts in Reykjavik.
In 2022 he performed in opera galas for the Oper im Berg Festival in Austria, Germany, and Iceland.
In 2021 he sang the role of Sparafucile in Rigoletto, Dr. Grenvil in La traviata, Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor and Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte for the Oper Im Berg Festival in Salzburg and later in the year he sang the role of Sparafucile in Rigoletto, Dr. Grenvil in La traviata and Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte for the opera festival Schloss Amerang.

In October 2020 David sang the role of Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte at the Oper Im Berg Festival in Salzburg. This was followed by performances of Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte for the opera festival Schloss Amerang.
In September 2020 David was awarded the second prize at the Grandi Voci Opera Competition in Salzburg.
David pursued his studies at The Reykjavik Academy of Singing and Vocal Arts. He also took private lessons with various renowned singers, including Wolfgang Millgramm, Gary Jankowski and Bonaldo Giaiotti.
